Krutarth Trivedi, Ph.D.

Founder, CTO, President

     Krutarth’s professional background consists of R&D in design, fabrication, and integration of nanoscale electronics with biology. He has extensive experience in semiconductor device design, fabrication and characterization as well as molecular diagnostic testing techniques and surface chemistry.  After earning a Ph.D., he joined Diagtronix Inc as a Principal Engineer, where his work involved developing nanoscale biosensor devices and prototypes of next-gen point-of-care (POC) molecular diagnostic products.  He soon realized the tremendous potential for POC diagnostic products to transform the healthcare industry.

     His personal experiences have fueled his desire to push the boundaries of POC diagnostics.  He believes that for POC diagnostics to have a truly profound impact, the technology needs to be placed directly into the hands of consumers.  Therefore, his singular mission is to develop economically and practically feasible platform technologies which can be built into products for on-demand molecular diagnostics for advanced testing in the privacy and comfort of our homes.

     Vikas earned his Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas.  He is experienced in the development and characterization of biochemical sensors, microfluidic devices, and molecular diagnostic assays.  His R&D experience spans development of flexible electrochemical sensors for non-invasive protein detection and an innovative medical device that tackled infant mortality by early detection of respiratory distress and vitals monitoring.  A prototype of the latter received incubation funding and introduced him to the world of entrepreneurship. 

     His long standing interest in creating easy-to-use, affordable medical devices has stemmed from involvement in R&D and product innovation efforts aimed at bringing quality healthcare to the masses.  Therefore, helping TrivTech Dx develop an on-demand molecular diagnostic device is a natural fit for him.
